"NIPIStroyTEK" LLC Training Centers provide retraining and career enhancement training for TEC construction professionals in 38 working trades. The surface area of the production space occupied by the Centers’ exceeds 14,000 m2 and up to 4,000 professionals can graduate from the Centers annually.

Specialties and training courses

1. Training and professional development of engineering and technical personnel in innovative technologies of work performance and organizational management.

2. Qualification courses and seminars with a demonstration of technologies for professionals and managers involved in the technology-related decision-making processes and job engineering:

  • Methods of determining the feasibility of construction methods based on technological and economic indicators.
  • Calculation of equipment and personnel requirements in complex process flow configuration.
  • A typical generic composition bill of the automatic welding column structure.
  • A typical generic composition bill of the semiautomatic (mechanized) welding column structure.
  • A typical generic composition bill of the insulating jacket and the laying column.
  • Field non-destructive testing laboratory procurement kit and equipment.
  • Calculation of equipment and staff requirements to work on cleaning the cavity and pipelines testing.

3. Training (advanced training) of workers of different specialties for the following activities:

  • Excavation:
    • Preparation of the trench.
    • Pipes hauling-away and layout.
  • Preparation and delivery of pipes for welding:
    • Pipes’ edges preparation for welding using different types of equipment.
    • Bending pipes using pipe-bending machines.
  • Welding work
    • Joints preheat using induction heaters.
    • In-situ welding of joints at the pipeline location and at pipe welding bases.
    • АAutomatic welding of pipe with fixed joints using solid section wire in shielding gas with CRC-Evans AW complex equipment (external P-260 single-arc heads, P-600 and P-700 double-arc heads, IWM in-line multi-head machine).
    • Automatic welding of filler and cover layers of fixed pipe joints using flux-cored wire in an atmosphere of shielding gas with M300-C outer heads.
    • Automatic (M300-C heads) and mechanized welding in carbon dioxide using the STT root layer method for straight pipe joints.
    • Automatic (M300-C heads) and mechanized welding of fixed pipe joints filler and cover lays using self-shielded flux-cored wire:
      • Automatic submerged single- and double-arc welding of filler and cover layers of rotary pipe joints;
      • Mechanized flux-cored gas-shielded welding of filler and cover joint layers on fixed pipe joints;
      • Manual arc welding of fixed pipe joints using electrodes with basic and cellulosic coating.
  • Circumferential seam non-destructive testing
    • Radiation monitoring: radiographic control with the use of X-ray film; radiographic using storage plates (digital radiography).
    • Акустический контроль:ультразвуковой контроль с применением дефектоскопов общего назначения, ультразвуковой контроль с применением дефектоскопов с фазированными решетками, ультразвуковой контроль с применением установок автоматизированного контроля.
    • Acoustic testing: ultrasonic testing with the use of general-purpose flaw detectors, ultrasonic inspection using phased array flaw detector, ultrasonic testing using automated control systems.
    • Magnetic control: magnetic particle inspection using universal flaw detectors with the pole magnetization and hand magnetizer.

 

Training Programs

Learning Stages:

  • Theoretical seminars convened by “NIPIStroyTEK” LLC leading specialists and staff-members of specialized research and training institutes and specialized organizations.
  • Education on the shop floor. Mastering the practical skills of effective and efficient use of equipment and technology.
  • Work at the testing site in a realistic field simulation environment.Drilling of operational skills at a pace determined by the previous and the next phase of work. Imbibing a team operation attitude.

At the end of training, students pass a qualifying examination, based on which they are awarded with a standard certificate attesting the relevant qualification.

Theoretical studies

The theory studies for each type of work include the following topics:

  • Significance of the given type of operation in the flow process at the field track.
  • Technological options for the process.
  • Features and benefits of a particular technology.
  • Composition and design of the hardware device.
  • Equipment operation mode selection and setting in accordance with the requirements of the project.
  • Equipment adjusting.
  • Some consumables supplies. Interchangeability of consumables.
  • Job performance procedures.
  • Possible flaws in the job performance, how to avoid and fix them.
  • Specific nature of the preparatory work.
  • Job performance regulatory requirements.
  • In-job health and safety regulations.

 

Workshop Practical Exercises

  • Strong equipment operation skills, inter alia, in emergency situations.
  • Clear, fast and correct setting of the equipment operation mode.
  • Testing methods for different types of operation.
  • Streamlining operation flow process.
  • Mastering and practical application of safety rules.
